All in all, 2013 was an excellent year for men’s fashion and hairstyles and one that will stand the test of time. Even the trend conscious Justin Timberlake won’t regret this year’sslicked back hair with beard combination like some of his previous style choices, like cornrows or the infamous denim suit.

Looking forward to 2014, there will be new additions to this roster while some favorites will remain. Hair trends, especially for men, don’t move lightening fast so if you have a great look, there’s no need to immediately change.

The first three of these are hairstyles that can be styled out of the same long on top, short back and sides haircut. This is a great choice for the guy who likes to be first on the trends as well as wear different styles. 1. Slicked back hair

One of the top looks of 2013 is still going strong in the new year. Slick hair has been the most popular look for models, celebrities, and hipsters all over. If you have an undercut, comb hair straight back, on the diagonal, or across. Without an undercut, style hair with a defined part deep one side, combing hair in the opposite direction.

Five Natural Ways to Reduce Puffy Eyes

You know the phrase, 'Your eyes give you away?' It's actually very true, because you could tell a lot about a person from their eyes. You can tell if they're lying, sad, happy, even when they are tired. Puffy eyes are a usual indication of tiredness and not getting enough sleep, and you don't want your eyes to give you away at your next morning meeting. There are simple natural ways to reduce the puffiness of your eyes before you head out to start your day. 

1. Classic Cucumber Trick

You've seen it a lot in the movies and in the spas. Cut a chilled cucumber into thin slices and apply it to your eyes for about 10 minutes. This will reduce the wrinkles around your eyes and brighten up yourcomplexion. Cucumbers have natural anti-inflammatory properties that will instantly reduce the puffy tissues.

2.  Tea Bags

You can choose the type of tea you would like to apply, either green tea or black. First dip the tea bags in hot water for a few minutes, next, leave them to cool down, and apply the moist teat bags to your eye lids for about 20 minutes. This will reduce the swelling, and help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. 

3. Iced Spoons

Though the process may seem a bit weird, the frozen spoon is a great way to reduce puffiness in your eyes as fast as possible. Place two spoons in the freezer for a few minutes until they are icy cold. Then, apply them to your eye lids until they go warm, and repeat the process until you notice a difference. The frozen spoons are an effective relief to tired eyes. You can also use an eye mask.

4.  Baby Oil 

Believe it or not, that baby oil bottle you use to smooth your skin can help reduce the puffiness in your eyes. Add a few drops of the oil in some warm water and mix it thoroughly. Next, dip two cotton pads in the water, squeeze them, then apply to your eyes for about 20 minutes. Baby oil contains Vitamin E, which will help reduce the swelling under your eyes.

5. Massage

Mornings can be a blur, rushing to get ready, grabbing your to-go cup of coffee, just to make it to work on time. Soaking your eyes for half an hour is not an option. No worries, giving your eyes a massage is a great way to get rid of puffiness. Massage your eyes from the inner corner, all the way to the outer corner using circular motions. Arab Fashion Designers at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring 2014

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring 2014 wrapped up last Thursday, and I can proudly say thatArab fashion designers have successfully represented the Middle East. Of course not all the fashion shows by the Arab fashion designers were equally mesmerizing, but let's just agree that at least a couple of them have unveiled very fine collections. So who of the Arab fashion designers took part in Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring 2014? There was Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Tony Ward, Georges Chakra, Georges Hobeika, in addition to Rami Al Ali and Tony Yaacoub. Out of all those names, I can't help but get a little bit biased to Elie Saab, his show was just full of 'omg - sigh - awww' moments, I can tell that we'd be seeing a lot of those gowns on the red carpets very soon.

Modest fashion fans in the London area will have a fabulous chance to be mesmerised with a hijab fashion show and bump shoulders with their favourite bloggers.

The Hijab Fashion Week (HFW), taking place on October 24 at Rich Mix in East London, is a platform where modest fashion designers, stylists and bloggers can get together and have their works showcased to the public.

Labels that will feature their collections in HFW’s main event, a runway show nicknamed the “Super Bloggers Catwalk”, are Moon Doll Boutique and Darren Bonello. The event also invites a line-up of familiar names in the hijab fashion sphere such as Aquila Stylecolumnists Amenakin and Dina Toki-O.

The Super Bloggers Catwalk will kick off at 6pm on October 24. Tickets to the event can be purchased through the Rich Mix website. Goody bags are available for the first 100 early birds. Attendees will be happy to know that a portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit Afghanaid, a charity organisation that benefits the lives of poor Afghans in rural Afghanistan.
