The Institute for Preservation of Arts & Culture (IPAC) and Kuch Khaas brought you a unique folk musical experience from the heart of Punjab!

FEATURING ARTIST: Mustafa Lohar, student of Arif Lohar, has been performing at various folk melas, Sufi shrines and in theatre for the past 30 years. He belongs from Lahore and is known for his lively folk storytelling through his music.

FEATURING INSTRUMENTS: Chimta, Dhol, Jori, Harmonium and Dholak.
A traditional folk percussion instrument of South Asia, the Chimta, first came into the limelight with late folk musician Alam Lohar, who developed a new style of singing the Punjabi Vaar, an epic or folk tale as well as Sufi poetry. The ensuing popularity of this folk storytelling tradition is manifest in the vast popularity of his shagird (student), the larger-than-life Arif Lohar.

Gala Round Starts with 13 Finalists

The Gala round will be brining different tests for all the contestants based on different themes.

Gala rounds first episode comprised of amazing performance by Bushra Ansari on “Dil Dar Sadqay”. Dressed in a beautiful Saari bushra Ansari rocked the staged with her amazing duo performance along with the three female finalists. Ali Azmat also made a rocking performance with the boys which was really enjoyed by the Pakistan Idol Audience.

From the last week episode of wild card entry, the best performer Kashif got selected. Kashif sang Kailash Kher’s “Saiyan” and got the first standing ovation of Pakistan Idol from the legendary judges and the audience. His performance was the talk of the night on social media networks. The final 13 contestants include Zamad Baig, Rose Merry, Ali Asad Zaidi, Mehvesh Maqsood, Waqas Ali , M.Shoaib, Abdul Rafay, Waqas Ali Vicky, Sajid Abbas, Shahmeer, Sana Zulfiqar, Asad Raza & Kashif Ali.

The 13 finalists performed the songs of Pakistani Legends including Madam Noor Jahan& Mehdi Hasan. The contestants were dressed up according to the theme which made their performances much more glamorous.

The Gala round will end up with one contestant who will be the first Pakistan Idol. The votes of Pakistani’s can make the first ever Pakistan Idol.

“Best International Designer of the year”

Famous Pakistani duo designers Sana Hashwani and Safinaz Munir of SanaSafinaz were crowned as the “Best International Designer of the year” at the fifth Annual Masala Awards in Dubai. They were nominated in the Best Designer of the year category for the second time.

Sophie Choudry presented the International Designer 2012 award to Frieha Altaf, who accepted the award on behalf of Sana Safinaz.

Ayesha Omar Refused to Perform in Indian Drama :)

The popular drama serial “Bulbley” star actress, Ayesha Omar was offered to perform in the Indian drama. She got fame with her role in the serial ‘Khoobsurat’ and now she received from Indian dramas but she refused to act in the Indian dramas.

                  

Ayesha Omar said that she got popularity due to her performance in Pakistani dramas and people of Pakistan liked her performance in the drama so she could not go to India and perform in their dramas. Before her, various other Pakistani artists including Mona Lizza, Atif Aslam, Humaima Malik, Ali Zafar, Meera have accepted offers to perform in the Indian film industry. Ayesha Omar was scandalized some times before due to some controversial views in foreign country but now she refused the offer of Indian drama and  get the support and appreciation of Pakistani people.

Men and women have different beauty needs. Beauty tips for men will help them get noticed and stay looking younger longer. Men, unlike women, cannot usually hide behind makeup, so there is even more reason to take good care of their skin and overall health to look their best.

Men's Skin Care Needs: Men's skin has larger pores, on average, than women's skin, so it is more prone to oiliness and gets dirtier faster. Daily cleaning is a necessity and also cleaning your face once a week with an apricot scrub gets rid of dead skin particles and leaves your facial skin feeling smoother and looking great and it can also help prevent black heads and white heads. Products to look for should be all-natural and fragrance- free, if possible, because the skin does not need extra irritation. Men need to rely on their skin alone, without enhancements such as makeup. On top of this, shaving daily gives their skin an extra irritation that needs care.

Aloevera works as an after-shave that will tighten pores and not dry or damage skin like alcohol will. Treat your face as carefully as you can before and after shaving, by gently cleansing before, and treating with either aloevera or a non-alcohol product after. The best moisturizer for men is the light variety. Try pure aloevera gel, straight from the plant if you can. If not, look for it in a health-food store where you can be more certain of getting a pure product. Also, try pure vitamin E oil on your freshly-cleansed skin. This should help against blemishes and also be light enough for most men's skin. Anti-aging creams work just as well on men as they do on women but they can leave your face with an un masculine shine if you use these creams you should also purchase a couple of cosmetics to take the shine from your face like a concealer or a light foundation powder.

Teeth Whitening: No matter how often you clean your teeth they can become stained from drinking tea, coffee, smoking and from eating different foods there are many different ways to whiten your teeth but the cheapest option is to use a whitening toothpaste although this might take a little longer than other methods to work they will give you a brighter smile in two to three weeks.

Fresh Breath: Having whiter teeth doesn't always mean that you have fresh breath, and although regular brushing does help investing in a good mouth wash is essential, mouthwash gets to parts of the mouth that brushing can't reach leaving your breath fresher and your mouth cleaner.

Hair Care: Regardless of your hair type, it is important to use a shampoo that is gentle on your hair. Ingredients such as vitamin E are great for naturally strengthening and conditioning the hair follicles. Don't be fooled by super fragrant shampoos, either. Be sure to read the labels, as these types of products can contain artificial ingredients that don't do much for your hair.

Clothing: No matter if you are going out to a formal or casual event ensure that your clothes are well laundered, cleanliness is next to godliness after all, after you have worked on all of the other care tips above, you could spoil it all by having poorly washed or pressed clothes, shoes should be well cared for and well polished.

Exercise to Enhance Beauty: Exercise induces sweat, which removes toxins from the body. It also relieves stress, which, among other benefits, enhances beauty. Mother's Love

A mother has a never-ending supply of unconditional love. A child could destroy her most prized possession, but she will still have a smile on her face because her child is safe. Often, when a child gets upset one says and does hurtful things, and yet a mother forgives and forgets. A mother's child grows and becomes an adult, and one might make decisions she might not agree with, but she will still love her child and be there when needed. No matter what, a mother will always have unconditional love for her child. Every moDictionary Definition of a mother is a female parent, but a mother is more than just a parent. She is her children’s best friend. A mother is someone who loves you unconditionally and more than life itself.  Mothers are angels in disguise sent from God to watch and help us through our troublesome times. We hardly stop to think of how they feel and if they need help, we abuse them in a sense by not appreciating them enough. The definition for love is a great liking or affection. But love is something stronger. Love doesn’t give up, doesn’t have a swelled head and doesn’t force itself on others. Love isn’t jealous, is always forgiving and without love, we are nothing. A mother’s love is a bond that connects us together, even before birth. It is stronger than any feeling of hate or fury. Love takes on everything, even if it can’t carry it all. Mothers may seem just like ordinary people, but they are really super heroes in disguise! They show their love in a million different ways every day.
ther has a moment in her life where she remembers every detail. She remembers the date, time, and place for the rest of her life multiplied by how many children she has. It is the moment when she gave birth to her child. At that moment, she makes a promise to herself and her child that she would be a good mother. A mother has many defining traits, unconditional love, support, and being a good role model. 

A child needs support in a variety of ways, and a mother is there to offer all of the support needed. Of course, a mother is there to support her child financially as best she can; she will always provide for her child to the best of her ability. A mother also provides the emotional support that her child needs; she is always there when her child may need a kiss on an injury, or simply an extra hug as they get off the bus. Without the support of a mother a child may squander through life never living up to his or her full potential.

Since children learn by example, it is important for a mother to be a good role model. A mother will show respect to her family, friends, and strangers; by showing all of them respect she teaches her children to be respectful. When a mother stands up for what she believes in, it gives her child strength and confidence to be an independent individual. A mother will always be responsible for her actions and admit mistakes when she makes them.  Every child needs a good role model to look up to and a mother is just that.

Children learn what they live, so when they are exposed to unconditional love, support, and a good role model, that is who they become. A mother can see her success of being a good mother in the product of her child. A mother creates loving, supportive, and stand-up people; that is what every mother wants her child to become.

No matter how much we hurt and irritate and don’t appreciate our mothers, they still love us no matter what. They accept us for who we are even though we aren’t necessarily the best people we could be. A mother is someone who would jump in a fire just to make sure you have what you need, will run a thousand miles just to get you what you want. Once our mothers are gone there is no shoulder left to cry on, no one to blame for our mistakes, no one to make us our favorite chocolate cake and no one there to ask how our day was.

And the only reward a mother wants at the end of the day is the simple words, I Love You.
